Yoga and Pilates Class Policies and Recommendations:
  • We offer small classes of under 20 students, which enables more individualized instruction. Because class size can be limited, we suggest that you call or email to reserve your spot if possible, there will be no penalty for not attending.
  • Before your class, please:
    • Arrive at least 5 minutes before class to get settled in (New students please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out brief intake).
    • Come to class on an empty stomach.
    • Bring water and a yoga mat if you have one. Mats are available free of charge if needed, but we highly recommend bringing your own.
    • Check with your physician before beginning any exercise program and be sure to let your instructor know if you have any injuries or illnesses.

Policies for Workshops and Special Events:
  • Pre-registration is required for all workshops and special events.
  • Please read individual course descriptions for information about cost and payment. Some workshops require a minimum deposit to reserve your place, while others only require a credit card number to hold your spot. You are welcome to pay the full tuition in advance as well. Deposits are included in the course cost and will be credited towards your final payment.
  • In the event you must cancel your enrollment, 48 hour (2 day) advance notice is required for a full refund. If you must cancel within 48 hours, your deposit will be forfeited.
  • Unforeseen circumstances may occasionally force us to postpone or cancel a workshop or special event . We will provide as much advanced notice as possible to participants and offer you either a full refund or credit towards a future class/event.

Lunchtime Yoga
Take a break from work for this specially designed, shortened yoga flow! You will leave feel relaxed and reinvigorated, ready to face the rest of your day- and week!
Qi-Gong I
In this class you will be introduced to the Therapeutic Qi-Gong form which is a type of medical Qi Gong sometimes called “Chinese Yoga” and is an “energy workout”. Through gentle whole body stretching and Qi breathing you will feel the energy flow smoothly through your body. It is proven to relieve many ailments including back pain, neck and shoulder problems, cardiac ailments, circulation problems, low energy, low immune function, GI problems, and muscle stiffness.
70 minute class includes warm-up, Qi-Gong exercises, self-massage and a short meditation. Recommended level: Beginner. This is an excellent preventative and recuperative exercise for all ages.
Price: $15 per class (5-10 classes sessions)

Qi Gong II
Qi-Gong II class continues the Therapeutic Qi-Gong I sequence which now includes more challenging stretches, movements and some basic martial arts stances. The entire Therapeutic Qi-Gong form is a wonderful sequence to learn and practice at home on a daily basis. It improves your body and brain balance and relaxes your mind and muscles which results in a better sleep. This class also includes a sitting static Qi-Gong form with breathing for releasing tension in arms, shoulders, and chest.
70 minutes class, Qi-Gong I and II exercises, self-massage, Qi-Gong static form and relaxation.
Recommended level: Beginner. This is an excellent exercise for all ages.
Prerequsite: Qi-Gong I (a few classes at least).
Price: $15 per class (5-10classes sessions)
"Circle Qi" Taichi/Qi-Gong
This form is a flowing (like a river) form of Qi-Gong. While the movements are graceful and gentle, the effect of the whole form is powerful because it involves mind focus, deep and well controlled breathing. The routine strengthens your lower body, improves energy flow and flexibility in your hip joints and knees, detoxifies kidneys, liver and digestive tract, and provides mental alertness and emotional balance. This class is for more experienced students.
90 minute class includes a warm-up, moving Qi-Gong form, static Qi-Gong, self-massage and relaxation
Recommended level: Intermediate. Ages 18+
Price: $17 per class. Those who pay for 10-class cards get the class for $15.00.

Prenatal Yoga
Pregnancy can be a physically and emotionally transformational time. In this class, we will honor your individual journey, teaching gentle yoga poses and breathing exercises to relax and open the body as well as the heart. Special: 6 week sessions for $65. Must call to register.
Foundations of Yoga
Designed for the yoga novice or early beginner, this class will guide you through a gentle flow of postures teaching basic principles of alignment, mindfulness, strength, balance and flexibility. Each week will include an experiential lesson focusing on common yoga postures, breathing techniques, and how to bring the mindset of yoga to your everyday life. Handouts will be provided to enhance your learning. Inflexible or injured bodies are welcome; time will be taken to adapt postures to meet each individual student’s needs.
Svaroopa® Style of Hatha Yoga
Yoga YOU can do! Many props are used for comfort and support in this slower style of yoga. Begin in chairs, release your spine, and end with guided awareness lying in shavasana (relaxation pose), all while getting a lot of gentle assistance from your instructor. You will release deep tensions, quiet your mind, realign your spine and use your bones, relieve stress and pain, cultivate body awareness and good habits, and feel more energized. Please wear layers of loose comfortable clothing.
Because this is prop intensive yoga, the class is limited to 10 people.
Yoga for the Japanese Speaking Student
Fluent in both Japanese and English, instructor Yoshiko Gray brings a unique opportunity to the Japanese population of yoga students who may find it easier to take classes taught in their native language.
Designed to provide a healthy and spiritual outlet, this class allows Japanese speaking student to relax and truly focus on their practice instead of interpreting a teaching in a second language.
This beginner level class is Iyengar influenced, but combines various yoga styles including Iyengar, Ashtanga and Vinyasa flow with a special focus on progressive stretching intended to increase circulation and open one's pranayama - Life Force.
Yoga For Everyone
This class offers exercises that can be done by anyone and everyone. These exercises work to accomplish body cleansing, proper breathing, and meditation. By doing these exercises, one can expect an improvement in inner strength and flexibility. While the class prepares you to properly accomplish yoga poses, it is also an excellent class for people with experience in yoga that desire improvement in strength and flexibility. All ages (11+) are welcome!
Mixed Levels Flow
This class is designed for all levels, including the yoga novice, and will emphasize structural alignment and moving with your breath.
Meditation Exploration with Laura Haley
Join us for a one-hour workshop devoted to the practice of meditation. Enjoy the healing atmosphere and the benefits of meditating in a group. During this workshop, you will receive instructions and tips and then you will be guided through meditations of different types and lengths to help you find what works best for you. You will leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Beginners welcome!

Aloha Yoga with Julie Stygles
This is a 60-minute, slow-flow yoga class open to all levels. Please bring your own mat, towel and water.

Qi Gong to Restore Health
Restoring the body to health through QiGong exercises
QiGong is an ancient, healing Chinese practice that is often called “Chinese Yoga” or moving meditation. QiGong movements provide an excellent stretch for every limb, awaken your brain, clarify your mind, and stimulate the energy ?ow throughout the entire body, in a gentle, caring way. This practice is a good choice if you would like to boost your energy, improve posture, build stamina or re-connect to a ?ow of positive energy.
Evidence demonstrates that Qi-Gong activates the body’s natural healing intelligence and may be an effective addition in the treatment of many illnesses including cancer and heart disease. It is becoming more and more popular. If you have never done Qi-Gong before, this introduction class can be the right start for you.
